Interview in Infobae and participation in the EU-Argentina Climate Dialogue 2025
On October 2 and 3, the Delegation of the European Union in Argentina hosted the EU–Argentina Climate Dialogue 2025, a space for exchange between national and subnational institutions, civil society, and youth representatives.
Mariana Castaño Cano, journalist and climate communication expert, founder of 10 Billion Solutions, participated as an invited expert, sharing her insights on climate action narratives and the role of communication in mobilizing people and institutions.
During her visit to Buenos Aires, Mariana was interviewed by Infobae, where she reflected on the challenges and opportunities ahead of COP30 in Belém (Brazil). In the conversation, she discussed Latin America’s role in climate negotiations, the progress of green diplomacy, and the importance of strengthening international cooperation.
“COP30 will be a test of maturity for the global climate system,” Mariana said in the interview, emphasizing the need to arrive with concrete commitments and a shared narrative to tackle the climate emergency.

What the EU–Argentina Climate Dialogues are
The EU-Argentina Climate Dialogues are a platform for exchange and cooperation between representatives of national and subnational institutions, civil society, youth, and international experts. Their goal is to foster discussion on climate policies, share experiences and best practices, and generate recommendations to strengthen climate action in Argentina and the region. These dialogues allow diverse actors to exchange ideas, identify common priorities, and collaborate on solutions that integrate sustainability, adaptation, and climate change mitigation.
